[ The engineering reality ]

Controlled levels and traceable evidence, or nothing.

Aerospace and defence programs run on controlled requirement levels, derived requirements, development-assurance objectives, independence, configuration baselines, interface agreements, structural coverage, verification evidence, certification-stage findings, mission context and lifecycle support. Generic assistant output does not hold up against that. Every artifact has a level, an owner and a baseline, and a change at one level can reopen objectives three levels down. For defence programs the Agent Library adds 13 Defence persona agents grounded in capability backlog management under JCIDS, DoDAF 2.02 architecture viewpoints, and NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0 and DFARS cybersecurity compliance.

  • 01

    Derived requirements lose their flag.

A derived HLR is edited, and nobody records that it needs to go back to the system safety assessment.

  • 02

    Interfaces drift between teams.

Two sides of an ICD are updated at different times, and the bilateral agreement is only checked at the next review.

  • 03

    Coverage obligations reopen silently.

A low-level change invalidates structural coverage and independence evidence that was already counted as closed.

  • 04

SOI packs are built by hand.

Before each certification stage, engineers spend days pulling objectives, data items, findings and baselines into one package.

[ What the pack configures ]

Assurance context in every run.

The Aerospace & Defence pack sets the classification, traceability, standards mapping and gates the agents follow. Triggers and approvers stay with your program.

  1. 01 Classification

    Severity, DAL and level

Failure-condition severity and development assurance level, system, software or hardware requirement level, derived status, control category, independence, mission criticality, and security and airworthiness context.

  2. 02 Traceability model

From mission need to certification data

Operational or mission need to system requirement, HLR, LLR and derived requirement, architecture and interface, implementation, verification objective and result, configuration baseline, and certification data package.

  3. 03 Standards & frameworks

    Mapped to your assurance standards

ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-330, DO-326A and airworthiness security context, MIL-STD-882E, and S1000D where applicable. Defence personas add JCIDS, DoDAF 2.02, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0 and DFARS.

  4. 04 Lifecycle gates & evidence

    The stages your authority reviews

System and software reviews, SOI and certification stages, requirements, design, code and test baselines, independence checks, structural coverage, configuration index, findings closure, and certification package readiness.

[ Traceability model ]

The Aerospace & Defence chain, kept intact.

A high-level requirement changes. The agent flags the affected LLRs, raises re-verification, and confirms traceability before the baseline moves.

[ Priority workflows ]

Where the agents do the work.

Eight workflows the pack is configured for. Each runs on a trigger your program set and leaves its output on the requirement, test or baseline it concerns.

  • Formal and derived requirements

Author, classify, link, baseline and map requirements, and analyze change impact across system and software levels.

    Requirements Engineer Agent
  • DAL-aware architecture and interfaces

Maintain allocation, architecture views, ICDs, bilateral agreement, drift checks, safety and security impact, and reviews.

    Business Analyst Agent
  • Verification and coverage

Design and manage formal tests, configurations, objective coverage, anomalies, regression and evidence.

    QA Engineer Agent
  • Certification-stage readiness

Check objectives, data items, independence, findings, approvals, baselines and review packs before each gate.

    Compliance Officer Agent
  • Configuration and change control

Maintain controlled baselines, problem reports, change categories, SCI and SECI-style status, and as-built consistency.

    Release Manager Agent
  • Safety and security

Maintain hazards, controls, traceability, vulnerability findings, verification and evidence.

    Compliance Officer Agent
  • Mission and trade studies

Trace operational intent, analyze mission threads and scenarios, and structure trade criteria, sensitivity and decisions.

    Product Owner Agent

[ Example run ]

A high-level requirement changes.

A software lead edits HLR-207 on a flight-control program. The agent's condition matches and the run starts. It checks whether the requirement is derived, then identifies the affected low-level requirements, architecture, interfaces, code, tests, independence and structural-coverage obligations, the safety assessment, baselines, certification data and open SOI findings. It finds that the requirement is derived and has not been fed back to the safety assessment, and that two LLR tests were run against the old revision. It creates the review and re-verification actions, opens a task for the named authority, and verifies that traceability is restored before the run closes.

[ Human responsibility ]

Your authorities keep every decision.

Agents classify, trace, check and assemble. Certification, airworthiness, DER, safety, systems, software and hardware, verification, configuration, security, mission and program authorities keep all accountable decisions and approvals. Required Approval pauses a run and opens a task for the named person, who can answer, attach files, and approve, edit or reject before anything is written.

[ FAQ ]

Aerospace & Defence questions.

It can prepare a classification from configured failure-condition inputs. Authorized safety and certification personnel review and approve the DAL.

It prepares and assembles source-linked drafts and evidence. The applicant and the certification authorities decide compliance and acceptability.

We do not claim classified deployment. That would need a verified architecture, accreditation, network, model, data-handling and operational approval path first. Talk to us about your environment before planning one.

The Agent Library has a Defence section of 13 role-based persona agents, grounded in capability backlog management under JCIDS, DoDAF 2.02 architecture viewpoints, and NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0 and DFARS cybersecurity compliance. Add one with Use, and Compatibility Alignment maps it to your process template.

Yes. Attach your plans, standards and templates as knowledge, or turn on Bring Your Own Data so the agent retrieves from your documents, queries and wiki pages during the run. Every agent definition is versioned with rollback.

Yes. Each run keeps its trigger, the artifacts it read, the tools it used, proposed and completed actions, approval state, output, errors and verification result in the Job Explorer.

Credits are $0.01 each, pooled across your organization, with no per-user fees. A rule-shaped check, such as required links on every derived requirement, can run as an Execution Agent at a flat 4 credits. Agents pause cleanly at zero.
