TORONTO, ON, October, 2026. Modern Requirements today released Agents4DevOps V2, a major update to its governed AI agent platform for Microsoft Azure DevOps. The release gives teams running agents in production more control: clear visibility into every run, precise rules for when agents fire, and agents that work from each organization’s own standards. It is available now.

Agents4DevOps runs AI agents inside Azure DevOps across Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans and Wiki, with approval points each team defines and a record of every run. V2 targets the questions that come with scale: which agents are failing, what they cost, and whether they understand how the team works.

A clear view of every agent and run

A new Dashboard brings agent, job and skill activity into one view, from success rate and average run time to remaining credits and how long they will last at the current burn rate. Job logs are now timestamped and written in plain language, and agent responses can be saved as PDF, Word or Markdown for reporting and record keeping.

Tighter control over when agents run

Event-based agents can now carry trigger conditions, so they run only when a work item matches rules the team sets. That cuts unnecessary runs and the credits they consume. Any Manual agent can also run on a recurring schedule, and a new Schedule tab lists everything on a timer. Teams can create recurring tasks there directly, or let AI draft one from a few short answers.

Grounded in each organization’s own knowledge

With a Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) license, administrators can build a knowledge base from uploaded documents, Azure DevOps queries and Wiki pages. Agents using BYOD draw on that content while running jobs, in their chat assistant and when generating instructions, so output reflects the organization’s own terminology and standards.

Human approval gets stronger too. When an agent pauses for input, the person answering can now attach up to 10 supporting files, and an agent whose instructions may need to ask a person something cannot be saved until Required Approval is turned on.

More agents, and more of Azure DevOps

The Agent Library adds 78 persona agents for six industries: Defence, Oil & Gas / Energy, Hardware & Electronics, Rail Infrastructure, Construction & Civil Engineering, and Nuclear. Each has 13 role-based personas grounded in that domain’s standards, from NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC 2.0 to IEC 61511, EN 50128, ISO 19650 and Part 21 evaluability screening. Compatibility Alignment helps map library agents to a project’s own process template, and version handling flags when a library agent has a newer version.

Agents can also manage Azure Artifacts through 26 new tool calls and record pass or fail results for each step of a manual test. The prebuilt System agents are now available in Copilot4DevOps Chat as well.

Teams can see V2 run on a real Azure DevOps workflow by booking a technical demo or starting a trial.

About Agents4DevOps

Software delivery contains thousands of repetitive checks, updates, investigations, handoffs and evidence tasks. Agents4DevOps is designed to execute that work in Microsoft Azure DevOps while keeping scope, approval, verification and professional responsibility explicit. It focuses on the system around the agent: event triggers, Azure DevOps artifacts, reusable skills and tools, execution policies, human approval, verification, run history and industry-specific engineering structures. Agents prepare, validate and execute permitted work, while qualified people retain responsibility for safety, compliance, certification, architecture and release decisions.

Agents4DevOps is built natively on Azure DevOps by Modern Requirements, Microsoft’s go-to requirements-management partner and now a recognized AI transformation partner, whose relationship with Microsoft reaches back to the Team Foundation Server (TFS) era. Its sibling product, Copilot4DevOps, brings the same governed approach to assistive work.
